I'm the managing editor at the Queens Daily Eagle, a daily newspaper focused on the Queens criminal justice system and local communities.
I'm a journalist and licensed social worker committed to community issues in New York City.
As a reporter, I have covered housing + homelessness, health + nutrition, immigration + a whole lot of other stuff for City Limits, The Nation, CityLab, The Progressive, Gothamist and more. I have also written about world poverty, with a special focus on access to water, sanitation and hygiene — aka WASH.
As a social worker, I have developed and run programs that fuse fitness with mental health treatment at supportive housing sites for formerly homeless people around the city. My experiences as a social worker inform my reporting and help me convey the impact of policies and attitudes on diverse communities.
Based in Queens. Reporting throughout NYC.
